God Cannot Lie

We are a blessed people living in a country where freedom and liberty is something we take for granted all too often. But with all this freedom there is responsibility. We have to guard the things we say and do because we are ambassadors of the kingdom of God on this earth. The people we surround ourselves with will watch everything we say and do in order to see if we are what we claim to be. Do they really care? No, they just want to be able to accuse you of doing wrong like Satan does as he stands before God day and night.

We always have a choice, we can do our best to represent the God we serve to the best of our ability or we can make a wrong choices and take advantage of circumstances and situations we surround ourselves with on a daily basis if that's the type of people we want to be. We are always in a position where we have to choose between good and evil.

Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron, Timothy 4:1-2

All too often people find ways to take advantage of other people by unscrupulous means be it's from a scam or some other devious encounter that causes the victim to be weary of everything and everyone. People deep down want to be trusting but they have trouble because they know that being too trusting can cost them money, personal property, heartache or even ruin in the long run.

How many times have we heard stories or even ourselves have been victims of some situation or scheme that caused us to fall short when all the dust settled in the end?

We want to trust people, we want to believe in people and we want to believe what they say is true even though we always end up being let down, even though there is hurt, even though we feel foolish and we swear to ourselves that is the last time that will ever happen ever again. We want to believe in our fellow man.

Two things I request of You (Deprive me not before I die): remove falsehood and lies far from me; give me neither poverty nor riches feed me with the food You prescribe for me;
Proverbs 30:7-8

But then it happens again, and there we are with egg on our faces and our trust in our fellow man reaches new lows and we become bitter and hard hearted and get to the point where we won't help anyone at all no matter what.

Do you indeed speak righteousness, you silent ones? Do you judge uprightly, you sons of men? No, in heart you work wickedness; You weigh out the violence of your hands in the earth. The wicked are estranged from the womb; They go astray as soon as they are born, speaking lies. Psalms 58:1-3

We want to help people because that is our Godly nature, we want to trust because it is in the very core of who everyone is. We were born with that and it has been passed in our genes since Adam and Eve. We want people to mean what they say and say what they mean because we need that in order to develop trusting relationships with people around us.

But has that always happened? Not in this lifetime.

But there is one who is living who cannot lie, it's impossible for Him to do that. Do you know who that is? It's God.

Paul, a bond-servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, for the faith of those chosen of God and the knowledge of the truth which is according to Godliness, in the hope of eternal life, which God, who cannot lie, promised long ages ago, Titus 1: 1-2
