I was thinking about the sacrifice of Jesus all this week and I asked myself why would He even care about a creation that is always doing things that are totally abominable and against the goodness of God.

Why didn't He just wipe this creation out again and try a new one for the third time ?

It seems that we have this need to do everything that is contrary to God and His nature. Thank God I'm not Him ! Jesus is not a God that is like all the other man made Gods you hear people being fanatical about.

Won't God punish sin ?

Yes He will. So what makes Him different than all the other Gods people brag about ? The answer is simple, and because it is people have trouble accepting it. He just plainly loves us in spite of ourselves. Nothing more, nothing less.

He loves us so much that He planned a away of escape for us many years before it actually happened. But there was an ultimate price to pay and it was brutal, but why would He ?

Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed. Isaiah 53:4- 5

But why would God do that ?

The answer is simple again, God loves His creation and wants to restore the paradise that was lost. Unlike us who work at something for a little while and get frustrated and quit, God doesn't possess our impatience with things. He sees everything we see already fully restored and complete. We are just a part of one chapter in the whole book. The only Godly thing that keeps us from being like everyone else in this world is that we have hope. Without hope, we are no different than all the other animals living on this planet. We breathe the same air they do, we occupy the same space a lot of times that they do, and have to eat like they do. Not that much separates us from them, apart from our bigger brain and ability to be creative, but not much more. But yet God loves us even though we are inferior to Him, His righteousness and His wisdom

What is that word intercession ?

Webster Dictionary defines it this way : to intervene between parties with a view to reconciling differences.

Did Jesus do that ?

Therefore I will divide Him a portion with the great, and He shall divide the spoil with the strong, because He poured out His soul unto death, and He was numbered with the transgressors, and He bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors. Isaiah 53:12

The answer is simply Yes
.
But did it stop there ? No.

He wanted to restore some of that lost paradise within us, while we are living here on this planet living our lives. He doesn't want us to exist in a mundane life, where there is never reward for sacrifice, He wants us to experience victories and rewards as we live through the trials and pitfalls we encounter along the way.

For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous; With favor, You will surround him as with a shield. Psalms 5:12

God wants to show us favor, He wants us to be a mouth piece for all His goodness and victories in our lives. He wants to bless us in many more ways than just material things. God wants us to be victorious in every spiritual battle we have against the forces of darkness and that is why He says that He will surround us like a shield. We have to trust Him to come through when the going gets tough. Sometimes it's hard to do because when your going through things it's hard to see the forest past the trees, but we just have to know in our hearts that He is there always ready to take us under His wings.

In You, O Lord, I put my trust; Let me never be ashamed; Deliver me in Your righteousness. Bow down Your ear to me, Deliver me speedily; Be my rock of refuge, A fortress of defense to save me. For You are my rock and my fortress; Therefore, for Your name's sake, Lead me and guide me. Psalms 31:1-3

But sometimes we don't feel victorious, we even feel defeated at times with no end in sight.

I am forgotten like a dead man, out of mind; I am like a broken vessel. Psalms 31:12

But why is all this happening to me?

Has God forsaken me and those like me?

Never.

My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. James 1:2-5

Sounds easy but why don't that look on your face say you're joyful ?

Fact is that these things are painful sometimes, or they bring you to the end of your ropes, you can feel so beaten down, that when someone quotes that scripture to you, you want to strangle them, but you don't because that would be a very un-Christian thing to do. But even then God is working.

Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.
James 4:9-10

A lot of times when we go through things we are in a tearing down process, we are being brought to a place where we have to depend on God. We are humbled by our experiences and our pride takes a massive beating. I n the end we experience a little more of that lost paradise, when all of the sudden, we are still standing after the smoke clears from all the chaos and confusion of our latest encounter with the forces of darkness, that are trying to destroy us in every aspect of our lives.

For I said in my haste, "I am cut off from before Your eyes''; Nevertheless You heard the voice of my supplications When I cried out to You. Oh, love the Lord, all you His saints! For the Lord preserves the faithful, And fully repays the proud person. Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart, All you who hope in the Lord. Psalms 31:22-24

He is always there working a miracle even when we don't see Him in the situation. We are so caught up in the drama, that it's impossible for us to see the way out of the problems that are working our hearts, head and spirits over, but He is there

My times are in Your hand; Deliver me from the hand of my enemies, And from those who persecute me. Psalms 31:15

God Is Working
